The April index run demonstrates CRV’s progress in breeding for efficient cows with great longevity. Mint, Dax, Worldcup and Hongkong PP are amazing bulls for Fleckvieh breeders who want to utilise the full potential of their farms’ production capacity.
Mint (Manigo x Rau, 132 TMI) was already awarded proven Fleckvieh bull status in December 2017. In the April index run, Mint has added nine points to his total merit index and boosted his milk index (123) by six points, giving him a great efficiency score (+11%). His outstanding conformation rating shows excellent feet and legs (129) and sensational udders (124). With very good condition scores and noting good udder health (124), longevity (119) and somatic cell count (125), his progeny promise to be healthy cows.
A new daughter proven bull is Dax (Dell x Vanstein, 134 TMI). His daughters produce lots of milk (+930kg) with great efficiency (+8%). They are strong cows with excellent udders (125) and good udder health (108). He is a specialist for maternal calving ease (123) and guarantees a lacation curve with great persistency (119).
Worldcup (Wertvoll x Watt, 136 TMI) is another bull that transmits great milk production (+1,143kg), very high longevity (118) and excellent efficiency (+9%). Daughters by Worldcup will have excellent udders (118) and longevity (118) is one of his strengths. He also gives healthy (+8%) cows with great udder health (121).
Hongkong PP (Hoffnung PS x Polarbaer, 130 TMI) is an outcross homozygote polled bull without Mungo Pp, Irola PS and Ralmesbach PS blood in his family. He inherits good milk production (+631kg), high milk components (+0.10% fat and +0.04% protein) and great efficiency (+9%). Daughters of Hongkong PP will have healthy udders (112) and good longevity (114).
